What 99 Children Told Us About Physical Abuse

In late 2025, M'Lop Tapang surveyed 99 children in our Non-Formal Education program about their experiences with physical violence from adults. 84% reported at least one form of physical abuse. Most said it happened at home. Most had never told anyone. This is what they told us.

Vocational Training Graduate Outcomes Report 2026

This report presents the findings from the survey of 50 vocational training graduates. The results highlight the program’s strong impact in helping vulnerable youth successfully enter the workforce. At the time of the survey, 92% of graduates were employed, most with job placement support from M’Lop Tapang’s Employment Services Program. Graduates also reported significant income growth, with average monthly earnings increasing from $215 in their first job to $301 as they gained experience, a 40% increase.

Survey Results of M’Lop Tapang’s Pteah Romchang Drug & Alcohol Detox and Rehab Program (November 2025)

‘Pteah Romchang’ is M’Lop Tapang’s 24-hour voluntary detoxification and rehabilitation center, for treatment of drug and alcohol addiction. It is the only medically supported, voluntary, and free-of-charge detox and rehabilitation program in Cambodia. It is the first voluntary facility ever to be granted a license by the Cambodian Ministry of Health.

The information in this report is based on in-person interviews with 25 individuals who completed the detox and rehab program between 2022 and 2024.

Report of Survey Among Construction Stie Living Families.

This report presents the findings of a recent survey conducted among families living and working on construction sites in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. While the construction industry has become a significant source of employment, it also poses distinct challenges that impact the health, stability, and overall well-being of workers and their families.

M’Lop Tapang has been supporting construction site families for many years. Our team currently works with families living at more than 30 local construction sites.

ChidSafe Hotline Satisfaction Survey | May 2025

Over the months of March and April, we collected feedback from 97 ChildSafe Hotline users, primarily through in-person interviews, with a few responses gathered over the phone. Gathering feedback like this offers a valuable opportunity to see whether we’re truly meeting people’s needs. In this case, the results suggest that, for the most part, we are.

Approximately 92% of respondents said they would call the hotline again if they needed support. Many comments pointed to quick assistance, clear guidance, and the comfort of having someone available during difficult moments. Read the survey report here.
